Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencils

Now for a real and thorough post about makeup, aka why I originally wanted to start a blog in the first place! The first post I wanted to make is about a recent purchase I made at Nordstrom Rack the other day for only 12 bucks, and how awesome the product is (ESPECIALLY for summer!).

These, my friends, are the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencils! They are water resistant and super pigmented and creamy. This set comes with a dark purple, a dark brown, a lighter more shimmery brown, a beige champagne with a golden sheen, and a very bright and vibrant light blue. From left to right the names are Delinquent, Rehab, Juju, Sin, and Clash.

These colors are also very wearable, even the purple and blue. They're a great way to wear color, especially if you like to stay more on the neutral side with your shadows. Although they are chubby little shadow sticks, you can definitely get away with just wearing them on your waterline, or even your upper lash line. I personally would wear the neutrals all over the lid and use the colors as liner. These also can act as a base for powder eyeshadows! You really can do a lot with these babies!!

Not only are these long wearing, but they are also waterproof! Not even water is going to budge your eyes. Throw these on along with a little waterproof mascara and you have a full eye makeup look that you can sport at the beach, and you won't have to worry about makeup running down your face.

These shadow sticks are also small and compact, perfect for on the go and traveling. They're also great if you're like me, and take an extremely long (or more than needed) time to get ready to go somewhere.

The only con with these products is price. I was lucky enough to find this Holiday 2011 set at Nordstrom Rack (which is like an outlet for Nordstrom if you've never heard of it. I never did until one opened up in my area). I couldn't pass up what was a retail value of $34 for $12 (more than half off!). This set was limited edition too, but you can still get these exact colors at Sephora, or any place Urban Decay is sold and as a full size product. They go for $20 a piece.
Now I know that's a bit on the pricey side, but if you think that these are very applicable to your lifestyle and you see them being useful to you, it's a great product to invest in and at least try out. If you thought that you would've probably grabbed them if they were still sold like this, than you can wait until this holiday season and maybe get them as a gift (or even gift them yourself to your fellow makeup junkie, or even someone just starting out!). Just keep in mind, these sets are limited edition, so colors, quantity, and price are subject to change.
