What's In My Purse?: Vans Faux-Leather Tucson Crossbody Bag

You may have seen this bag in my outfit of the night post a few days ago, but if not, don't worry because I'm sure you'll be seeing it a lot this summer. I had been on the lookout for an affordable brown leather crossbody since the collapsing of my other one after my freshman year of college. It had lasted me a good while but as they say, all good things come to an end. This bag originally caught my eye because of the adorable colored tassles that hang off the side, giving the bag a festival inspired look and a nice pop of color, so you could imagine my delight when I randomly stumbled upon it during an arbitrary trip to the mall with my dad (whom, might I add, does not frequently venture there). It somehow really brings together any outfit, and it's just plain perfect when I'm not in the business of carrying a bunch of stuff. Did I mention it has an additional pocket attatched to the main compartment? It's an ideal match for a smartphone, which is probably the reason as to why this bag ultimately won my heart! Finally, we can get into what I tend to keep in this little guy. Starting off with the essentials, I have my iPhone sailboat printed wristlet that I got from Target last year, my house keys, an EOS lip balm in the Summer Fruit flavor, a little hand lotion for my dry skin, and a hand sanitizer in this adorable hippo case my bf got me (yes, I still have a Christmas scent in there-- I'm working on it). 

It may seem odd to you, but I always try to carry paper and a pen. I'm not the type of person who forgets things easily, I actually have a top notch memory, but I've always felt the need to physically write down reminders or things I have to do if I am out and about. It really does aid me in productivitiy, and it will probably be something I always do! Currently, I have a lined paper pad from Target's dollar spot and a Kikki.K gel pen. You'll also see a pad of sticky notes, and that's because I don't really like to leave the house without those either. They're especially useful if the item I'm writing down needs to be transfered to my planner, that way I can just stick it in the paper pad and deal with it later. I also have Benefit's Lollibalm, which is probably my all-time favorite lip product because it moisturizes and gives your lips color in one swipe. Of course, I have to carry a lip gloss, which is Benefit's Bella Bamba, in case I'm feeling frisky.
